Our team has been hard at work on the latest version of our CMS. Version 1.0.0 was released with limited functionality because we preferred to focus on improving features that required updates. Today, we are proud to present FlatlyPage CMS 1.0.1.
This release is not just a bug-fix update from version 1.0.0, it’s a version that fundamentally enhances the user experience and workflow.
What's New in FlatlyPage CMS 1.0.1?
Security Fixes
We constantly monitor and test the CMS to ensure it remains stable and secure. Additionally, we carefully read all technical support messages from our users. Many reported issues with Renderion Engine v2.9, which on cheaper hosting environments was slow and unstable. To address this, we replaced it with Renderion Engine v3.
Other improvements include updated icons for more intuitive navigation and fixes for 26 minor bugs reported by users.

What’s New?
Renderion v3
The biggest upgrade in 1.0.1 is Renderion v3, the next-generation proprietary rendering engine. This isn’t just a minor update, it’s a technological leap that pushes FlatlyPage CMS to the top of PageSpeed Insights, achieving a perfect 100/100 score.
Key improvements in Renderion v3 include:
1. RenderCache System
- Secure Hashing: Every data block is identified using SHA-256 keys.
- Active Content Validation: Cached blocks undergo a security check to prevent malicious code injections.
2. Performance: The 100/100 Milestone
- Fresh install: PageSpeed score improved from 94/100 → 100/100.
- Full theme & content: Score jumped from 91/100 → 98/100.
3. Hardened Security & Type Safety
- Strict array validation prevents errors from malformed JSON or YAML files.
- Enhanced section mapping ensures more predictable layouts.
Renderion v3 ensures FlatlyPage CMS is one of the fastest flat-file CMS platforms on the market. Developers benefit from a robust, secure environment, while site owners enjoy better SEO and lightning-fast page loads, without heavy JavaScript frameworks.
New White Theme
Previously, the dashboard was only available in dark mode. With version 1.0.1, users can now choose a white theme, improving comfort and accessibility for daily use.
Enhanced Security
We’ve strengthened CMS security by implementing mechanisms that block iframe attacks and validate request origins. In honor of Security Day, we thoroughly tested all security features to ensure the CMS has no critical vulnerabilities.
Built-in Translator
A standout feature in FlatlyPage CMS is the new built-in translator, usually a paid plugin in other CMS platforms. Now, directly from the dashboard, you can translate pages or articles using MyMemory, Google Translate Pro, DeepL and MarianMT.
This significantly improves workflow and content localization without leaving the CMS.
Blog Hero
Creating and managing a blog is now easier than ever with Blog Hero. This new feature provides a streamlined interface to build blog posts, manage categories, and add hero sections to each post, giving your blog a professional look without additional plugins or coding.
FlatlyPage CDN & Privacy-Focused Fonts
We’ve completely removed Google Fonts and migrated all default fonts to FlatlyPage CDN. This ensures:
- User privacy, with all CDN servers hosted in Lithuania (EU)
- No analytics tracking or behavioral profiling
- Full GDPR compliance
This change ensures better performance and respects visitor privacy, making FlatlyPage CMS a responsible choice for web developers.
Summary
Version 1.0.1 may still be early in the FlatlyPage CMS lifecycle, but our team has introduced meaningful enhancements that improve both usability and security. With a lightweight footprint - 50 to 500 MB smaller than popular CMS platforms, FlatlyPage CMS proves it can be a real alternative to heavier systems while delivering unmatched speed and flexibility.
